Home Schooling Tips
Coronavirus has been a tricky one for everyone, but for parents out there who are taking on the home-schooling challenge – it can take its toll.
We have come up with a few ways to steer your kids in the right direction and take the pressure off you a little bit.
1. Organisation Is Key
Even if you just plan for half an hour the night before the topics you’re going to cover with the kids, it’ll take the pressure off the day. You will have a brief or in-depth outline – however long you decide to spend on the plan, and it will help you navigate your way through the day and the kids will know what they’re doing too!
2. Snacks & Keeping Hydrated
It’s important to schedule in some snack breaks and remember to keep everyone hydrated to help with concentration – it also helps to break up the day.
3. Don’t Overload
Although it’s important to move through the topics at a good pace, listen to your child and be sure not to move through too quickly or plan to revisit something at a different time if you are pressed for time!
4. Don’t be Too Hard On Yourself
Finally, don’t be too hard on yourself! This is an unprecedented time, and you are doing your best. It’s an extremely difficult situation to adjust to – so don’t worry!
