11+ CLASSES: MATHS, ENGLISH, VERBAL REASONING AND NON-VERBAL REASONING.

GL & CEM preparation for North Halifax G.S., Crossley Heath G.S., Heckmondwike G.S., Skipton G.S. as well as 12+, 13+ exams including those for Bradford G.S.

For those of you wishing to pass the entrance examinations for any of the above schools, we recommend students starting classes in year 3 and 4 to give them time to reach the high standards required.

For mathematics, lessons are comprehensively planned along with weekly online tests and extensive past paper practice. English and verbal reasoning classes aim to give students a command of spoken and written English using stimulating topics: developing vocabulary, collocations, grammar and sentence structure in descriptive, persuasive and creative pieces.

In addition, regular prepared speeches in a supportive friendly environment will ensure students become confident well-spoken communicators.

11+ Classes

During your eleven plus classes you will study maths to a much higher level than that which is covered at school and become a confident and competent mathematician. You will also study English, verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning. We will write creative stories together in groups to entertain and enrich your spoken and written abilities. You will learn about different countries, their climates, plants and animals, their people, and culture. You will become more aware of what is happening in the world and your work will cover the requirements to pass the eleven plus exam to enter grammar school.
